Redeemer: Live Worship from Grace Church Chichester

Grace Church Chichester have released their first album with worship led by Cathy Burton, Jo Petch and Martin Copper.

The Blurb says, "Featuring songwriters and worship leaders from within the Newfrontiers movement – such as Cathy Burton, Jo Petch and Martin Copper – ‘Redeemer’ matches great lyrical content with an incredible sound. Credit for that is largely due to the talents of producer Paul Burton (Delirious, Athlete, Snow Patrol, Soul Survivor Live) who has managed to deliver an album that sounds as though it has come straight from the studio, yet retains all the intimacy and
urgency of those seemingly endless worship soakings."

Nigel begins blogging

The latest leader to join the ranks of Newfrontiers bloggers in none other than Mr Nigel Ring. Nigel writes, "For some time I have been considering producing a blog and now here it is! www.nigelring.org

Why I’ve done this

The purpose is not to keep people in touch with my diary etc (I don’t think people would be interested!!) but to write it as an alternative to the book which I have been considering writing for several years. Due to the limited market that would have reached, however, I have never felt the time was right. Now with electronic communication I feel I have an appropriate vehicle.

What I hope you’ll learn

Through this blog I would like to share some of the experience I have gained over nearly 3 decades working with Terry. There will be 2 primary threads – Administration in the Church and Kingdom, and Ministry Embracing The Poor. However, I shall ‘side track’ on occasion as seems appropriate to include some overseas visit reports etc.

Discussion and on-going help

I am not opening the blog up to a discussion forum. However, I would always be interested to hear from any who may have questions. My heart is to help facilitate good practice in any area I touch and I would be pleased to offer advice if you think I can help.

I hope you will find this interesting and helpful. Feedback and suggestions would be welcome.

Happy reading!
Nigel"

Blog on the Resurrection - Thursday 9th April

Evangelical Alliance's Slipstream are asking you to blog something about the resurrection of Jesus on Thursday. Go for it. Email slipstream@eauk.org to let them know you're joining the party.

Blog on the Resurrection Tomorrow

The EA are hoping for a on day synchro blog on the resurrection. So if you need an idea then this is a good one.

"On Slipstream; which is the Evangelical Alliance’s leadership resource (www.eauk.org/slipstream <http://www.eauk.org/slipstream>), this month our edition features interviews with Gary Habermas and Tim Keller with a special focus on apologetics and the resurrection. In conjunction with this, we would like to ask Christian bloggers to write a blog entry about Jesus’ resurrection on Maundy Thursday (9 April). Do you think you could write a post on that day about the resurrection (if you participate can you email slipstream@eauk.org to let us know you are doing it. The post obviously doesn’t have to be very long – but perhaps something personal about how you came to be convinced the resurrection of Jesus really took place.

My hope is that we can generate a good amount of buzz on the blogosphere about the resurrection getting people talking about it in the run up to Easter."

New bloggers

Two more bloggers have joined the ranks, please visit their blogs, have a read and leave a comment!

First up is Duncan Lee who leads Family Church Christchurch
Second up is a friend of mine James Patrick from Oxford. James is a sharp thinker and if theology is your thing then I think you should definitely keep an eye on his blog.

A title for Adrian's book on the resurrection?

Mark Driscoll challenged Newfrontiers last summer to write books. Our most famous blogger Adrian Warnock has written one on the resurrection - which is really good. But, it needs a title... These are the proposed titles:

1. Raised with Christ - Living in Light of the Resurrection
2. Raised For Our Justification - Living in Light of the Resurrection
3. Raised For Our Salvation - Living in Light of the Resurrection
4. Raised To Save Us - Living in Light of the Resurrection
5. How the resurrection changes everything
